Meditations

Medication for chronic pain is quite the hit and miss affair. These days so much emphasis has been placed on how much harm medications such as opiates can do even though they still do have their place in the chronic pain sufferers arsenal. There are those of us for whom these drugs are still essential and do reduce the pain levels we experience. However, we do recognise that these powerful medications should never be used as a first step and other drugs and methods tried out first.

Something which many long term chronic pain sufferers use to help with their symptoms is meditation. This can take a while to perfect which is partly why it is termed “meditation practice”. It is a method you have to keep on trying to perfect.

We are now holding free fortnightly online Meditation and Wellness Classes led by Deidré Christenson-Main, a Wellness, Health and Life Coach based in Craigellachie. The classes are held fortnightly from 21st February 2024 on a Wednesday at 1:00pm for half an hour. Click on the button for the link.
